Chinese logistics firm Best said it has received a preliminary buyout proposal from a consortium including Cainiao, Alibaba Group’s logistics arm. Cainiao has offered to buy all outstanding shares in Best and the deal would mainly be financed through Cainiao’s equity capital and cash reserves.
