Alibaba has upgraded its AI model, Tongyi Qianwen, and introduced eight industry-specific versions in sectors such as healthcare, finance, entertainment, and law.

The firm said that the updated Tongyi Qianwen has “hundreds of billions” of parameters. The update comes six months after the launch of the model’s first version.
