Chinese conglomerate Alibaba Group reduced its direct operation’s net carbon emissions by 12.9% in the fiscal year 2022-2023 and reported a 22.907 million metric tons decline in carbon dioxide equivalent across its wider ecosystem.

Leveraging smart energy management and an increased use of clean energy, the firm is driving towards its 2030 carbon neutrality goal. Alibaba Cloud has also been helping its corporate users reduce emissions by integrating cloud computing into their operations.
