Investments in AI startups worldwide have surged, outpacing other tech sectors. The segment has raised US$17.9 billion in Q3 of this year – a 27% rise year on year.

Despite a 31% decrease in global startup funding to US$73 billion, AI has bucked the trend, partly due to interest in generative AI tech. However, the sector is still behind its fundraising peak two years ago.
