Nvidia said in Seoul on June 8 that Naver, a South Korean internet and cloud company, will use its technology to build gigawatt-scale AI factories to meet rising global demand for AI services and physical AI applications.

Nvidia uses “AI factory” to describe graphics processing unit-heavy infrastructure that turns data into intelligence.

Physical AI refers to software that lets autonomous systems perceive and act in the real world.

The announcement follows Naver Cloud’s earlier plan to deploy more than 60,000 GPUs in South Korea for sovereign AI and physical AI as part of a wider national infrastructure push.
