Starlink, the satellite-based internet venture of billionaire Elon Musk, is set to roll out its services in the Philippines after getting the greenlight from the National Telecommunications Commission, Nikkei Asia reported.
After the launch later this year, the Philippines will become the first Southeast Asian country where Starlink’s services will be available. Starlink currently operates in over 30 markets, primarily in North America and Europe.
Starlink offers internet connectivity through constellations of low-orbit satellites. It claims to provide low-latency internet services with download speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 200 Mbps.
