MoVend Adds Alipay and Cherry Credits as New Payment Channels, Enters China
Exclusive — MoVend is an in-app mobile payment platform for Android, BlackBerry, and Windows 7 phones. It allows in-app payments using MOLPoints, Paypal, and telco phone billing systems across 25 countries. Today we learned that MoVend has added two more payment options: Alipay and Cherry Credits.
Alipay is a affliate of Alibaba.com, with a whopping 550+ million registered users in China, which facilitates more than 8.5 million online transactions daily.
Cherry Credits, on the other hand, allows MoVend to tap into its one million user-strong gamer community. Cherry Credits is mainly used by gamers for credits-based payment for in-game virtual items.
Besides these two additional payment options, the latest MoVend SDK update also includes a security patch to prevent crooks from tampering and modifying an application’s code.
MoVend is the flagship product of Singapore-based Stream Media, and raised SGD$1 million from SingTel Innov8 earlier this year.
