Motorola Bluetooth Handsfree HZ 800 Helps Indonesians Drive Safe

Indonesian police represented by the Public Relations of Jakarta Police Force is now working with mobile phone vendor Motorola and handset distributors Wellcomm to support a safe driving campaign.

The Motorola Bluetooth Handsfree HZ 800 was recommended as a safe driving gadget by the government at the “Wellcomm Safe Driving with Motorola” event in Pondok Indah Mall, Jakarta.

Andre Johan as VP of Marketing of Wellcomm Ritelindo Pratama explained that the Bluetooth Handsfree Motorola HZ 800 is equipped with Bone Conduction technology which conducts sound to the inner ear through the bones of the driver’s skull.

It also has the function of reducing noise, as well as Text-to-Speech/Speech-to-Text technology so it can read the contents of your SMS while you’re driving. Other features also include the Stealth Mode Microphone, Multipoint (two phones), noise reduction seal, Rapid Charge, Voice prompts, Cristaltalk Dual Microphone Technology, and A2DP support.

The product launch and exhibition will take place from April 25 to May 1, 2011. There is also an ‘education center’ for people who want to learn more about safe driving, with the Head of the Jakarta Metro Patrol Force AKBP, Ipung Purnomo.

It’s too early to comment whether this new product will help to reduce traffic accidents in Indonesia. But it certainly won’t hurt to try. The Motorola Bluetooth Handsfree HZ 800 is available at a price point of Rp.1.499.000 (US $175). Now drivers, would you get one?
