Get ready for SEA’s largest pitch battle

Dear readers,
Last month, we announced a completely reimagined Tech in Asia Conference for 2020.
Today, we’re excited to share with you that Tech in Asia and Surge, Sequoia Capital India’s rapid scale-up program, have teamed up to make this year’s Startup Arena more meaningful and beneficial to the community.
Startup Arena: Presented by Tech in Asia and Surge
The Startup Arena competition is a tradition at the Tech in Asia Conference. Through our network, we handpick promising early-stage startups across the region – most of the time before they receive any funding – and gather them together for a pitch battle.
Past Startup Arena participants include Astroscale, Uiza, Eztable, GPU Eater, Swingvy, Halofina and 8 Securities, which was recently acquired by US fintech firm SoFi.
Together with Surge, we’re also bringing Startup Arena to Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the rest of Southeast Asia, with the grand finale taking place at the Tech in Asia Conference.
We’re looking for founders who operate a tech startup that has:
- A working prototype
- Raised less than US$3 million worth of external funds
- Proven traction with a strong team
- An English-language pitch
You’ll be pitching to some of the region’s most prominent investors and founders, with a chance to win funding, cash prizes, and sit-down sessions with Sequoia Capital India’s Surge as well as an array of perks for your business.
No guts, no glory! 🥊 If you’re interested to join, please apply here today. Submissions will be closed by September 11, 2020 at 11:59 pm GMT+7, and we’ll be reviewing entries on a rolling basis.
