MIT Innovators Under 35 looks to Asia to champion top innovators

MIT Technology Review is on the lookout for top innovators in Asia!

As the world’s oldest and highly-regarded technology journals, MIT Technology Review has recognized and acknowledged innovators under the age of 35 since 1999. Some of these innovators include well-known figures such as Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Technology Review 35 (TR35) nominees are acknowledged for their contributions to the field of technology in areas such as biotechnology, computing, energy, medicine, transportation and the world wide web.

Now, it is running a competition in Singapore to identify top innovators based in Asia. The top 10 selected finalists will be invited to attend the EmTech Singapore conference on January 20-21, 2014 at the Marina Bay Sands. These finalists will also be automatically considered for the global TR35 list to be awarded in 2014 in Boston.

Nominees must be at most 35 years old as of October 1, 2014. They must be citizens of (or work in) these countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Australia or New Zealand. The categories are: Biomedicine, Computing, Communications, Energy, Materials, Web, Transportation
