Mineski.Dota has picked up a sponsorship from PC hardware manufacturer Gigabyte, who think of them as one of “the most consistent eSport team in ASEAN in terms of players and tournament ranking.” This is a separate sponsorship from their existing agreement with Mieneski for the sixth season of the Mineski Pro-Gaming League
Danny Chang, regional sales director for Gigabyte, said in a statement that although the company had been sponsoring amateur teams such as Philippines’ iZone, Thailand’s iDEAL, and 1st.VN from Vietnam, they have been waiting three years for an appropriate professional team to sponsor. He added that he expects Mineski.Dota to maintain their form for the rest of the year.
It’s too early to pass judgement, but the team’s recent performance and the Mineski Open Challenge are good signs of what one might expect.
