Pappas specialized in growth tactics for influencers and celebrities while at YouTube, presiding over the new trend for famous YouTubers.

TikTok is on a roll, passing 500 million active users worldwide as it rises up the app charts. At time of publishing, the app is ranked sixth on iOS in the US, just behind YouTube and Instagram.

Pappas will work from TikTok’s Los Angeles office.
