Startups, here’s how you can exhibit for free at Tech in Asia Tokyo 2015

Startup Asia Tokyo

Bootstrap Alley is making a comeback at Tech in Asia Tokyo 2015 and applications are now open! We are inviting all interested startups to submit their applications.

Here’s how startups can benefit from exhibiting at Bootstrap Alley:

  1. Exposure to hundreds of investors, corporate buyers, and M&A departments. Those who were present at last year’s Tech in Asia Tokyo conference included 500 Startups, CyberAgent Ventures, East Ventures, and Y Combinator.
  2. Test your products and gather feedback from tech-savvy early adopters around Asia
  3. Forge potential partnerships with other exhibiting or attending startups
  4. Potential media opportunities with Tech in Asia Tokyo’s media partners. Past attendees include Bloomberg, Nikkei Asian Review, Thomson Reuters, and Wall Street Journal.

I’m sold! How can I apply for my free booth?

Step 1: Determine your eligibility. Startups looking to exhibit at Bootstrap Alley must fulfil the below criteria:

  • Working prototype (software or hardware). Startups with mockups/screenshots are welcomed to apply, but priority goes to startups with a working product.
  • Raised less than US$1.5 million of external funding
Please note that we are unable to accept service companies, events companies, media companies, VC firms, accelerators and incubators. If you wish to exhibit or collaborate with us, please contact shintaro@techinasia.com or noriaki@techinasia.com.

Step 2: Apply to get selected for your free booth. Submit your applications through our online form, available in both English and Japanese.

Step 3: Check your inbox! Applications for Bootstrap Alley are on a rolling basis and successful applicants will be notified every 1st and 15th of each month. We encourage all submissions to be in by 27  31 July 2015.

Update on July 29: We will be extending the deadline for all Bootstrap Alley applications to August 12, so apply while you still can!

Step 4: Successful applicants will receive an email with their unique code to claim their free Bootstrap Alley booth to Tech in Asia Tokyo 2015.

Step 5: Purchase your conference passes at our ticketing page (because only the booth is free!). Each successful applicant will need to purchase the Bootstrap Alley pass, which automatically entitles you to two Startup Passes. If you have more representatives from your startup who would like to attend our conference, you will need to purchase these additional passes individually.

Step 6: Check your inbox. You will receive an email confirmation of your booth within the next few days after purchasing your passes.

Step 7: Get ready to exhibit!
