Video Editing Software Loiloscope Rolls Out Version 2 with Impressive New Features

Some of you may recall back in September when we previewed Loiloscope 2, a major update of Loilo Inc.’s video editing software. We’ve finally received word this week that the new version has been announced.

As we mentioned in our previous report, Loiloscope is a somewhat unconventional, but pretty intuitive video editing software. One of its main features is that it relies on your computer’s GPU rather than its CPU for video processing.

According to Loilo, among the new features included with this upgrade are:

• a guide feature which walks new users through tasks
• compatibility with Intel Sandy Bridge Processors
• improved editing tools
• DVD/Blu-ray video disk authoring tools

Speaking as someone who does mostly simple video editing in iMovie, I was pleasantly surprised when I had a chance to preview Loiloscope 2 (Windows only, currently). It’s not difficult software to learn, but it’s still pretty powerful, and doesn’t require ginormous hardware specs to run.

If you’d like to give Loiloscope a try, it’s costs $98, but until December 25 you can get it at a promotional price of $79.
