Linktree, an Australian “link-in-bio” platform, has raised US$110 million in a funding round led by Index Ventures and Coatue, with participation from AirTree Ventures, Insight Partners, and Greenoaks Capital.

Founded in 2016 by Alex Zaccaria, Anthony Zaccaria, and Nick Humphreys, Linktree enables social media users to put a personalized link in their account bios to engage with their followers and better commercialize their accounts. It currently has more than 24 million clients, including companies such as TikTok and HBO as well as personalities such as Selena Gomez.

In a statement, the company said that its users grew more than 4x between 2020 and 2021. Last year, it facilitated 1.2 billion clicks to commerce-related websites.

Linktree plans to use the fresh funding for geographical expansion, recruitment, and increased revenue streams.

Recently, the firm appointed Mike Olson – a former executive of Twitch, LinkedIn, and Microsoft – as its president. It also named Michael Wijaya as its Indonesia country manager.
