The Philippine Game Development Festival (PGDF) returns for its fifth year with not only a new acronym, but also with a new format. Now known as the Philippine Game Festival (PGF) and not to be confused with the Pinoy Gaming Festival, this annual event organized by the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) aims to focus on “making games and bringing game ideas to life through creativity and innovation.” With this year’s motto, “live to play,” we get to see the many faces of gaming and game development—as industry, hobby, business, art and more.

Like previous years, PGF will be a two-day event, but this year, each day will have its own target audience. The first day will be aimed for experienced developers with talks centering on business and industry trends. The second day, on the other hand, is aimed at the newer developers who are still testing the waters and figuring things out. Check out the speakers for the event:
The event will also have the following workshops:
PGF will be held in the SMX Mall of Asia on October 3 to 4, 2014. The full schedule, ticket prices, and more details can be found here.
