Latest Guild Wars 2 update provides more story content and a whole new world to battle in

Adventurers of Tyria beware! The tenacious Scarlet Briar is at it again with the latest patch for Guild Wars 2 that went live yesterday. In Edge of the Mists, antagonist Scarlet is at it again, trying to bring chaos into the world of Tyria. Can you stop her before it’s too late?

The update includes a new world-vs-world (WvW) map named “the Edge of the Mists”. Unlike existing maps, Edge of the Mists creates a new map once the existing one is filled up. This removes long queue time for players who want to join in the WvW action.

Edge of the Mists also adds two more story quests for players to accomplish. Join in with Taimi and Braham to escape from the edge of the mists to report on Scarlet’s antics, or join the investigation team to figure out what is Scarlet up to.

Other updates include:

• Lovestruck weapons – these weapons are heart-themed skins that players can purchase in exchange for Black Lion chests.
• Quaggan finisher – this new permanent finisher in WvW creates an animation of a pink Quaggan, a frog-like race in the world of Tyria, dance over your opponent’s grave.
