Held annually since 2003, the Spirit of Enterprise (SOE) Awards recognize the entrepreneurs behind successful small and medium businesses. For the 2010 Awards, today’s the last day for nominations.
To qualify, the business must be locally registered, not less than 5 years in operation, earning less than S$10-million, with a good business standing and no legal obligations.
How the process works is this: SOE engages more than 100 students from universities and polytechnics every year and these students interview nominated entrepreneurs whose small and medium businesses exemplify what is achievable with the right spirit and illustrate the concept that one does not have to start big to become an entrepreneur.
The winners are selected after a thorough screening by the SOE Board of Governors complemented by a public voting. This year’s SOE Awards Ceremony is to be held in November 2010.
