Those of you who have never heard of Kakao or his masterful plan that has been in making since OGN Champions Spring 2014; brace yourselves, you are about to discover one of the most evil and malicious schemes ever created in the professional League of Legends (LOL) history.
KT and Kakao
It was October 10, 2012 when the KT organization decided to move into the hot and happening League of Legends circuit. The organization created two teams: KT Arrows (KTA) and KT Bullets (KTB). Originally, Kakao was put into the second team, alongside Ryu, Mafa, Score, and Ragan. However, a few months later, the KT organization found itself a new game, and its main point was no one else but Kakao himself. Sounds confusing? Perhaps this image below will clear things up:
Kakao had a lot of success in KTB, the most notable achievement would be second place in the OGN Champions Summer 2013. The team eventually lost to SK Telecom T1 K (SKT T1 K) in the finals. He also snatched himself the third place finish in OGN Club Masters 2013, where KT took down CJ Entus 3-0.
Those achievements did not stop the KT organization from replacing Kakao with InSec, once in KTB and then in KTA. However at the very end, Kakao landed in the KT Arrows for good and it seems to be working out very well for the team.
Season 3 World Championship: Korean regionals
To fully understand this story, we have to go back in time to OGN Summer 2013, which took place right before the Korean regionals. Once Samsung White (formerly known as MVP Ozone) got the sole possesion of the second seed in circuit points, everything came down to the battle between KTB and SKT T1 K in the final match. It is still considered to be one of the most amazing best-of-five series in the history of OGN, mainly due to the Zed versus Zed match-up in the fifth game.
Ultimately, SKT T1 K ended up third place in circuit points, which seeded them in the finals of Korean Regionals, while KT Bullets had to play a best-of-three decider against CJ Frost for the fourth place. The KT Bullets team lost that match and was forced to play in the first round against CJ Frost’s sister team: CJ Blaze. After a crushing 3-0 victory over Blaze, KT Bullets served justice upon CJ Frost and took out the penultimate obstacle on the road to the Season 3 World Championship. However, in the end, KT Bullets did not manage to beat SKT T1 K, which resulted in the latter going to the World Championship and eventually winning the whole event.
The Grudge of Kakao
After being unable to get to Season 3 World Championship and getting an unsatisfying third place finish during OGN Champions Winter 2013 on top of that, Kakao came up with an evil plan to take down SKT T1 K. He was once again swapped with InSec and landed in KT Arrows, a team that had to fight its way through the qualifers in order to get to the spring split of OGN. Then, chaos happened:
