Korea's MVP Phoenix and Malaysia's Arrow are going to The International 2014

The Southeast Asian (SEA) qualifiers for The International 2014 have ended with a big bang. Arrow’s performance wasn’t entirely surprising, as many considered the Malaysian team to be one of the qualifier’s favorites, alongside Orange, Scythe, and Mineski.

What is surprising is Korean team MVP Phoenix’ placement in the top two. This is not to say that MVP isn’t skilled enough, but they are by far the least experienced, seeing as the Koreans have only been playing _Dota 2 _ for less than a year.

One of the notable tournaments that MVP has participated in is Starladder IX in Ukraine, where it competed against top teams such as Natus Vincere (Na’Vi), Alliance, Empire, Invictus Gaming (iG), and Team DK. MVP was placed last in its group stage and was eliminated early on by Na’Vi, but as it seems, the Korean team has taken what it has learned from its losses and put it to good use.

MVP will now have to face Arrow to determine who will be SEA representative for The International 2014 (TI4). The winner will be automatically seeded in the tournament, while the runner up will participate in the wild-card match against the winner of the American qualifiers, Team Liquid, and the runner ups of the Chinese and European qualifiers. The match will be decided today in a best-of-five series, which you can watch for free in the Dota 2 client
