Free domain name scholarships for all Startup Weekend participants, starting now
If you’re a Startup Weekend participant, here’s a little surprise: You will be able to register a .CO domain extension and have it free for one year.
This “domain name scholarship” is the result of a global partnership between between Startup Weekend and .CO Internet, the company behind the .CO domain extension, which has now been used by over 1.3 million websites since its launch two years ago.
This program will kick off this month at over 40 Startup Weekend events (full list of locations), and will last for one year.
“.CO has quickly established itself as the hot, new domain of choice for startups worldwide,” said Marc Nager, CEO of Startup Weekend.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be able to provide Startup Weekend participants with the chance to launch their new products, services and brands on the .CO platform.”
Some of the top Silicon Valley startup evangelists that use the domain name extension include: Angel List (angel.co), 500 Startups (500.co), The Founder Institute (fi.co) and Startup America Partnership (s.co).
This scholarship is expected to reach more than 45,000 entrepreneurs in over 100 countries.
