JD.com and Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery, a Shenzhen-based electric vehicle battery maker, signed a cooperation framework agreement in Shenzhen on Aug. 24, the battery company said.

Under the agreement, the companies plan to work together on standardized new energy battery products, smart logistics, supply chain coordination, green energy services, and related areas.

The announcement did not disclose financial terms, project details, or a timeline. It said the cooperation would cover several areas.

The deal builds on JD Logistics’ sustainability efforts, including 500,000 reusable cold-chain solutions and green supply chain practices that academic research has examined.
