Epsilon, a Singapore-based connectivity provider, announced that it has been selected by Indonesian startup Tokopedia to provide multi-cloud environment services for the ecommerce giant in Singapore.

Through its network-as-a-service (NaaS) platform Infiny, Epsilon can manage Tokopedia’s cloud environment in various services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud.
According to Tokopedia’s vice president for engineering Ryan de Melo, Epsilon’s flexible solutions would allow the company to handle the rising demands of the marketplace’s customers.
Epsilon itself is headquartered in Singapore, with offices in London and Sofia. The company is part of Kuok Group, a Malaysian conglomerate with businesses in property, logistics, and food, among others.
Last week, Tokopedia officially merged with Indonesian super app Gojek to form GoTo Group. Based on both companies’ latest respective funding rounds, the combined entity has a valuation of US$18 billion, with Tokopedia and Gojek together having over US$22 billion in gross transaction value (GTV) in 2020 and 100 million monthly active users.
GoTo is also planning an initial public offering (IPO) later this year.
