Smile, frown or grin… Humans have multiple ways to reveal emotions. How about using a pair of cat ears? It looks fun.
Japan’s Neurowear created a device that let us do just that. The device named, Necomimi, detects your brainwave and reacts accordingly to your emotions. The cat ears go up when concentrating (studying, eating) and go down when you are relaxed.
“We created new human’s organs that use brain wave sensor. “necomimi” is the new communication tool that augments human’s body and ability,” Neurowear described the video on YouTube. The cat ears is also said to be faster in revealing our emotions than us talking about it.
Besides the first version of fluffy white ears, Neurowear also came out with a black version for black cats wannabe. The device looks fun and perhaps even fashionable. However, on deeper thoughts, this device could prove to be useful for people who can’t express their feelings through speech or body language effectively.
