Here’s how LeTV and Xiaomi are performing in China’s flatscreen TV market

Ever wonder how internet companies like LeTV and Xiaomi’s smart TVs are stacking up in China’s flatscreen TV market? Chinese research firm Systun has given us a partial answer. As of Q1 2015, Sharp still ruled the roost in terms of flatscreens in China, but two Chinese companies did beat out Samsung and Sony, and LeTV made the top ten:

Xiaomi didn’t make the top ten, but according to Systun’s data the Xiaomi TV (it counted the original and Xiaomi TV 2 together) was the best-selling single flatscreen model in China’s ecommerce shops, controlling 2.32 percent of the market for single-model sales on ecommerce sites. LeTV’s S50 and X50 TVs also made the top five in terms of single-model sales on ecommerce sites, with 1.51 percent and 1.18 percent market shares respectively.
