Update: “Bharti Airtel will launch iPhone 4 in India in the coming months,” its website announced. No fixed date mentioned, though.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that the Apple’s iPhone 4 will be coming to India through Bharti Airtel. However, the launch date hasn’t been announced yet.
Bharti currently sells the previous iPhone model and is popular for its high-speed internet and mobile software capabilities.
With the iPhone 4 already out in many countries (including paper versions), India is again one of the slowest to receive Apple’s latest gadget. The country is still waiting for the iPad 2 announcement date as rumors were spreading that the tablet could be available in India as soon as this month.
We reached out to Apple but the spokesperson declined to comment on rumors. The first generation iPad was only launched late January this year which angered many Apple fans in India.
