Indonesian last-mile delivery firm nets $3.25m in round led by Surge, East Ventures

Indonesia-based RaRa Delivery, a last-mile logistics service focused on same-day deliveries, has raised US$3.25 million after being included in the Surge accelerator program’s fifth cohort.

• The last-mile logistics firm said its priority is to integrate its services into all major online marketplaces in Southeast Asia.
• Currently serving brands such as Blibli, Sayurbox, Kopi Kenangan, Grab Merchant, and Alodokter, the Jakarta-based startup said it has grown its daily order volume 15x over the past year.
• The fresh funding could help RaRa Delivery capitalize on the growth of the same-day delivery market, which is expected to be worth over US$4.5 billion in 2023, up from just US$306 million in 2018.
• Prior to joining Surge’s latest cohort, RaRa raised more than US$830,000 in a seed round led by 500 Startups in 2020.
