Indonesian horror gem DreadOut gets a bunch of updates, and a discount

Third-person indie horror game DreadOut, developed by Indonesia’s Digital Happiness, is one of our favorite horror games this year, even if only half of the full game has been released so far.

But if you haven’t yet ventured into DreadOut‘s haunted halls, now might be a good time to do so—especially if the reason you haven’t played was that the game wasn’t compatible with your computer. Digital Happiness has just released a Steam update for the game that adds a whole bunch of stuff:

• Support for 32-bit versions of Windows
• Universal support for Linux and Steam OS
• Universal support for Max OS X
• New Indonesian voiceover audio support
• One new costume

If that wasn’t enough, here’s the icing on the cake: the game is 20% off on Steam from now through August 30. You should be aware that right now only half of the game is actually finished, so you might find it surprisingly short. But there are already some good scares in the game, and with the promise of more to come (in a free update) when the second half comes out, I personally think this is a deal PC horror fans will want to take advantage of.
