Indonesian agritech firm TaniHub Group’s CEO steps down from post

TaniHub Group co-founder Ivan Arie Sustiawan announced today that he will be stepping down as CEO of the Indonesian agritech firm. He will, however, continue to serve as a board member of the company.

Pamitra Wineka, who is also a TaniHub Group co-founder and was previously company president, was named as the new CEO.

Sustiawan, who made the announcement on Linkedin, said he will work closely with Wineka to ensure a smooth and successful transition. And while he mentioned his next journey, he didn’t offer specific details.

“Since I built the company with other co-founders, we have grown TaniHub Group from expanding our market in just one city to five cities and building key facilities to support our growth. I also assisted the company in closing the series of funding rounds,” said Sustiawan.

But shortly after he posted on Linkedin, the message was deleted. Tech in Asia has reached out to Sustiawan for more information.

Indonesia-based TaniHub Group makes it easier for farmers to connect with customers. Established in 2016, the startup operates a platform that handles order management, logistics support, and financing options for farmers.

In a statement last year, the agritech company said that its platform serves about 30,000 farmers, connecting farmers to more than 115,000 retail consumers and over 5,000 business customers such as restaurants, hotels, and food processing firms.

TaniHub raised US$17 million in a series A+ round co-led by Openspace Ventures and Intudo Ventures in April 2020.

This follows a US$10 million series A fundraise in May 2019, also led by Openspace Ventures.
