The Shonet, an Indonesian social network for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle aimed at millennials, has secured seed funding from Maloekoe Ventures. The company didn’t disclose the funding amount.

The Shonet will use the money to boost its tech infrastructure as well as bankroll its marketing initiatives and team growth.
It empowers Indonesian social media influencers, whom it calls “insiders.” They can upload various looks, craft “thoughtful” editorial, and curate inspirational posts using its publishing platform.
Insiders can also monetize their presence via brand campaigns, exclusive products and events, and advertising.
The ecosystem “enables users to make better shopping decisions by engaging the community and insiders through product and content discovery,” The Shonet said in a statement.
