10 Digital Communities in Indonesia

There are many important factors that help to create a healthy tech ecosystem in any country. Government regulations, the presence of venture capital and incubators, macro and micro economic conditions, technology infrastructure, and lots more. But there is another key factor to consider as well. And that’s community.

In communities, we share inspiration and new knowledge with each other. Newcomers can learn from experienced members. We network and meet new people, creating many new opportunities. These grassroots gatherings can create a positive impact in many different ways.

The majority of Indonesians are keen to gather together. That’s why there are so many communities in Indonesia, many of them involving digital media and start-ups. We’ll list some notable tech communities here in Indonesia, just so you can get an idea of what’s happening.
