Get ready to preorder iPhone 6 and 6 Plus from Amazon, Flipkart, or Infibeam

Starting today, Indians can preorder iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus

Indian ecommerce portals Amazon, Flipkart, and Infibeam are taking preorders of the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. With a promise of an assured delivery on launch day (October 17), the listings also reveal the price – iPhone 6 starting at INR53,500 and iPhone 6 Plus starting at INR62,500.

Users can preorder the iPhones online from today to avoid waiting in the queues to purchase one later (Flipkart, Amazon, Infibeam).

After bit of confusion on the delay, Apple India formally confirmed the launch of new iPhones on October 17. Apple premium and authorized resellers will sell the new iPhones only from the launch day.

Prices as per the pre-order listing:

iPhone 6:

  • 16GB – INR53,500 (US$869)
  • 64GB – INR62,500 (US$1016)
  • 128GB – INR71,500 (US$1162)

iPhone 6 Plus

  • 16GB – INR62,500 (US$1016)
  • 64GB – INR71,500 (US$1162)
  • 128GB – INR80500 (US$1308)

All three ecommerce portals are also offering EMI (equated monthly installments) options by a tie-up with four major Indian banks.

Infibeam claimed to be an authorized online reseller and stated that the launch day delivery option is available only for 14 Indian cities – Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune, Jaipur, Nagpur, Faridabad, Noida, and Secunderabad.

Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus run iOS 8 out of the box and feature a Retina Display, Apple A8 mobile chipset with M8 motion processor, 8 megapixel iSight camera at the back, 1.2 megapixel camera in the front, improved TouchID fingerprint sensor, and Near Field Communication chip with Apple Pay (US only).
