Temasek’s deeptech arm leads $5m seed round of Singapore biotech startup

  • According to Allozymes, it will prioritize strong demand in the Southeast Asian market and the Asia Pacific.
  • Allozymes’ proprietary platform can analyze and maps millions of enzyme variants per day. It can also generate larger datasets than competitors, the company claims, and has the potential to become the largest enzyme data library.
  • Founded in 2019 by Peyman Salehian and Akbar Vahidi, two scientists from the National University of Singapore, the company has done pilot projects with pharmaceutical, agrifood, and personal care companies.
