Who are India’s top online influencers? There are several different types of metrics to help us figure out who, but Edelman has recently introduced two new influencer measurement tools for the public: BlogLevel and TweetLevel.
As the names suggest, each of these tools can measure your blog and Twitter influence, respectively. We tried Blog level and it’s pretty simple to use. Just key in your blog URL and the report is generated. Easy as that. We scored 63.3 in influence which is pretty decent, at least according to Edelman’s report. For blogs, Edelman calculates influence by a mathematical formula which factors in Google inbound links, PageRank, Yahoo inbound links, Twitter inbound links, SEO, and subscribers. The exact formula can be found below.
Interestingly enough, the folks at Edelman India delved into its India data and created an infographic to rank the online influencers within the country. It’s a fun infographic to explore.
Ranked second in the blog list was Amit Agarwal, who said the following about the ranking:
The world has 100+ million blogs and it is thus becoming increasingly difficult for anyone to pick the good ones around their topics of interest. A tool like BlogLevel, which assigns trust and influence scores to blogs using its own formula, can help you quickly narrow down that list.
