UpGrad set to acquire edtech firm Talentedge

Given how big both companies are, it could be one of the largest acquisitions in the Indian edtech space.

The deal value is undisclosed but could go up to 4x Talentedge’s annual revenue, which is expected to come in at around 1.3 billion rupees (US$17.3 million).

Founded in 2015, upGrad has been one of the most prominent edtech startups in the world, with more than 2 million users and over 300 university partners across 50 countries.

Sequoia Capital in talks to back blockchain network

The VC firm and Steadview Capital are among those in discussions to invest in Polygon, an India-based blockchain network, three sources familiar with the matter told TechCrunch.

The potential investors plan to execute the deal by buying some tokens worth US$50 million to US$150 million.

Earlier this year, Polygon received an investment from Mark Cuban. The current market cap of its token Matic is around US$12 billion.
