Myntra founder gets funding for Nudgespot, a customer engagement tool

Indiaโs customer engagement startup Nudgespot today announced that it bagged US$650,000 in pre-series A funding led by early stage VC Kae Capital. The other angel investors include Anoop Goyal, Mike Shah, and V.A. Sastry.
Nudgespot helps web companies keep in touch with customers across email, SMS, and push notifications.
โBulk messages donโt work. With Nudgespot, internet companies can react to customers based on behaviour. They can also experiment with messages โ content, schedule or frequency without any coding, and so on,โ says Raveen Sastry, Nudgespotโs founder.
Engaging
Sastry founded the startup after he left fashion estore Myntra (acquired by Flipkart) and baby products estore Hoopos (acquired by BabyOye). During his stint, he realised that businesses have been clamouring for a solution that allows them to talk to their customers in an intelligent manner across channels and so he launched Nudgeshop.
Nudgespot claims to have 40 clients, including Ola Cabs, Bluestone, and Toppr. It works on a typical SaaS model charging US$39 to US$399 per month
The fresh funding will be used for marketing and product innovations. The one-year-old startup also aims to expand its presence to the US.
Customer engagement startups in India got a high-profile boost at the start of the year when Indiaโs ZipDial, a marketing tool to drive engagement using missed calls, was acquired by Twitter.
