Much like almost every other game coming out towards the end of the year, Evolve has pre-order bonuses to tempt you to purchase the game early. Pre-purchasing the sci-fi cooperative shooter nets you the Monster Expansion Pack. This piece of downloadable content gives you a cosmetic upgrade for one of the game’s many monsters called the Savage Goliath Skin, as well as access to a new monster character as soon as it is available.

Priced at INR 999 (around $16.60) for PC and INR 3499 (around $58) for the Xbox One and Playstation 4, Evolve will hit India on October 21 much like the rest of the world. Its chances at retail however are uncertain, given that it’s a season filled to the brim with AAA releases. Plus, multiplayer experiences that aren’t called Counter-Strike, FIFA, or DOTA 2 are usually met with a weak response in India (bring up the topic of Titanfall at a game store here and watch the sales person’s face fall in disappointment).
It doesn’t help matters that the term “expansion pack” makes most consumers think of a lot more than just a single cosmetic item and one new character. It’s extremely misleading. The game’s distributor, E-Xpress tells us that this will be available at major retailers such as Flipkart and Games The Shop.
Will you be pre-ordering Evolve? What platform are you looking forward to getting it on? Or are you skipping it in favor of the other games that are coming out at the end of the year? Let us know in the comments.
