When Imperium introduced its League of Legends team, I was hoping it would also pick up a Dota 2 squad as well. I wasn’t disappointed.

In a recent post on the Imperium Pro Team’s Facebook page, Imperium announced it has signed team Synchronized Gaming (SGaming), third-placer in the Mineski Pro Gaming League (MPGL).
The Imperium Pro Team Dota 2 roster is as follows:
- David “DDg” DeGuzman, Captain
- Milan “PlayingWithNoobs” Morales
- Marvin “Mrbs” Espino
- Darren “Splend1d” Delos Reyes
- Patrick “JTaberrr” Tabernilla
SGaming has participated in several class S matches in the second and third leg of the MPGL season 6.
In less than a year, the Imperium Pro Team has picked up players and teams for four different titles aside fromDota 2, namely: League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Hearthstone, all of which are sponsored by Palit Philippines.
As Dota 2 fans know, The International 2014 is coming soon and many teams are looking at getting direct invites or a spot in the qualifiers. And if The International 2014 is indeed going to be held in July, there’s very little time and few tournaments to prove the Imperium Dota 2 team’s capability and the chance to get a qualifier invite looks to be slim. However, there are also rumors that there might be four online qualifiers for The International 2014 and if this is true, then the team’s chances are improved.
What do you think? Is it too late for the team to get a qualifier invite?
