One of the fastest-growing eSports teams in the Philippines has added one more member to its roster. The Imperium Pro Team welcomed today Blazblue player Angelo “IPT.MacArthur” Baldonado. Baldonado finished fourth for Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend and sixth for Persona 4 Arena in the 2013 South East Asia Major.
According to the announcement on Imperium Pro Team’s Facebook page, IPT.MacArthur will be participating in tournaments both locally and abroad, which means it is likely that we will be seeing him participate in the South East Asia Major (SEA Major) 2014 this June.
Baldonado is the 21st player to join the Imperium Pro Team ever since it was formed four months ago in January this year. Its latest additions to the roster prior to IPT.MacArthur were Jon Lance ‘IPT.Kaigu’ Hernandez and Elijah Joshua ‘IPT.Snoy’ Guerrero for League of Legends.

Owner Raphael Gancayo has been keen on making a mark on eSports ever since the Imperium eSports bar and video game lounge was launched, and could be one of the reasons for the team’s considerable growth in the short span of four months.
The Imperium Pro Team currently has players for five games: League of Legends (LoL), Starcraft II, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Hearthstone, and Dota 2. Its recent achievements include the LoL team winning first place in the Pacific Pro Circuit, Starcraft II player Enderr winning second place in the Zowie SEA Open, the Hearthstone team placing fourth in the Hearthstone Alley Battlestone 1 league, and the Dota 2 team finishing in the top four of the Mineski Progaming League 6-4.
