Indonesian startup iGrow won Tech in Asia’s Startup Arena pitch battle at the Startup Asia Jakarta 2014. iGrow won US$10,000 and got their startup’s legacy engraved on our Startup Asia Champion’s trophy, which they took home tonight.
SoftLayer Favorite was Hong Kong startup PlayRoll. It got US$120,000 hosting credit at Softlayer, a leading global infrastructure company, as well as mentorship. The second prize went to Arcterus from Japan. The third prize went to uHoo from Hong Kong.
iGrow, PlayRoll, uHoo, and Arcterus pitched along with five other finalists in front of a panel of judges – Willson Cuaca, managing partner of East Ventures, Stefan Jung, partner of Monk’s Hill Ventures, Jayesh Parekh, managing partner of Jungle Ventures, and Khailee Ng, managing partner of 500 Startups.
