IAH Games to host Blacklight Retribution tournaments with five-digit cash prizes
If you’re a dab hand at free-to-play shooter Blacklight Retribution and live in Asia, you might want to consider trying out for a $1000 cash prize pot generously offered by IAH Games.
The Singapore-based game publisher is holding an online Blacklight Retribution tournament on June 29, 2014, capped at just sixteen players. The competition will centre around the game’s deathmatch mode and see the sixteen players play five rounds each; players need to rack up points in these five rounds, after which the highest scorers will be placed and rewarded accordingly.
The first place winner will take home $500, the second place winner, $300, and the third place winner takes $200. The original ad for the competition said there would be a $2000 prize pot, but the prize breakdown only totalled $1000. You can still register here, but move fast, as only the first sixteen registrants will be selected to participate.
For players in Malaysia, you can hold up and wait for further details on an offline Blacklight Retribution tournament held on July 19; this one includes a total prize pot of RM 50,000, or about $15,465. Registration for the offline Malaysian Blacklight Retribution tournament opens on June 20, so stay tuned for more details!
