iPhone 6 launch in India isn’t delayed after all, pre-orders begin tomorrow

Indians can get their wallets ready to pre-order the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apple India said today in a statement that pre-orders for the new iPhone models will begin on October 7. The phones are available from Apple Authorized Resellers in India from October 17.
Apple India has informed its distribution partners Ingram Micro, Redington, Rashi Peripherals, and Reliance to share the pricing details soon.
There were concerns among some Indian gadget fans that the iPhone 6 launch would be delayed in the country after the initially promised launch date – October 17 – later vanished from the Apple India website.
Now, the India launch is happening on the same day as the one in mainland China. That means Apple has to work closely with its region-specific partners to make sure enough stock of the new models are available in both those huge markets. However, some retailers and telcos in both nations might find themselves with a lot more initial orders than they can fulfill.
