How Huawei’s mobile ecosystem has grown (Infographic)

In partnership withHuawei

When we talk about smartphone ecosystems, the space appears to be dominated by two major players. But the reality is there are alternatives.

In China, for example, third-party app stores are the primary means for Android users to get access to apps and services. In fact, many smartphone manufacturers have their own ecosystems in place. Huawei, in particular, has developed an especially robust one.

The smartphone company has been making a concerted push toward building an ecosystem that can stack up against the dominant players in the global marketplace, rolling out various apps, tools, and services to reach consumers and developers. It’s been a tough journey, but Huawei has already come pretty far.

It’s got 56 developer kits and over 12,000 different application programming interfaces on HMS Core, the app development platform for Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), along with a strong developer support system.

On top of that, the company’s AppGallery is currently the second-largest app marketplace in China, and it’s expanded its services to the rest of the world.

Here’s a look at its journey in the Asia Pacific to date.

Huawei is committed to growing its mobile ecosystem and providing the necessary support to developers all around the world. Join the innovation bandwagon and turn ideas into reality using HMS Core to build a better digital future together.
