Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou was granted bail by a Canadian court today, 10 days after her arrest in Vancouver. US authorities had requested her arrest after claiming she misled multinational banks about Iran-linked transactions, putting the banks at risk of violating US sanctions. The Canadian court granted the Chinese telecoms heiress’ US$7.5 million bail only if she wears an ankle monitor and remains home from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am.
