The fresh funds will be used to develop EventX’s virtual event solutions and carve out new spaces and opportunities for the marketing and event industry. Amid the pandemic, the company saw an 800% year-on-year growth in its user base.
Founded in Hong Kong in 2014, EventX is an Asia-focused provider of digital event management solutions for enterprises. It allows companies to host virtual events with features such as interactive exhibition halls, online registration forms, and webinars.
Through its partnership with HTC, the startup is also rolling out a virtual event lite platform for segments such as startups and small and medium-sized enterprises, enabling them to register and organize virtual events for free.
“It is certain that virtual workspaces and virtual events will become the new norm. The creation of this alliance will result in a deep level of integration between our own expertise and HTC Vive’s groundbreaking work in the VR space,” said Sum Wong, EventX co-founder and CEO.
