How a home improvement project turned into a US$4B empire

Adi Tatarko and her husband, Alon Cohen, hit upon the idea for Houzz in 2009, as they were going through a frustrating home remodeling project. The platform, which showcases home design products and professionals, is loved by over 35 million monthly active users worldwide and valued at over US$4 billion. Jason Chuck, who was then managing director of Asia Pacific at Houzz, was on stage at the Tech In Asia conference in 2016 to discuss the company’s move into Asia.
