SG’s Temasek leads Chinese cloud startup’s $40m round
Singapore state investment firm Temasek has led the US$40 million series B2 round of Chinese cloud rendering startup Well-Link Technologies, CNBC reported.
Existing shareholders Future Capital and VGC took part in the fundraise as well.
Well-Link, which counts tech firm Xiaomi and gaming company MiHoYo among its previous investors, sees the Temasek-led round as a doorway to expanding overseas, according to CEO Jianjun Guo.
Founded in 2019, Well-Link is looking into how its cloud rendering tech can be used in virtual reality projects. The Beijing-based startup is also planning to encourage more developers to create cloud-based games.
Temasek recently led the US$55 million series C round of Indian ecommerce enabler DotPe.
