Hi readers,
Not every battle is worth fighting and sometimes, if not most of the time, it’s important to pick the right one. Every person and company has different strengths and weaknesses, and it’s impossible to conquer all challenges.
Indonesia-based healthtech firm Klinik Pintar seems to have mastered the art of choosing battles wisely.
The company started by serving hospitals, but quickly moved on to focus on clinics – which turned out to be not bad at all.
After the pivot, Klinik Pintar developed some business models that may not have been possible if the firm continued catering to the hospital sector. Doubling down on industrial areas also led the startup to a stronger market focus and a clearer path to profitability.
I hope this story serves as an important lesson that may inspire other founders to do better things, especially in the current economic turmoil.
