Gunslinger Stratos 2: double the guns double the excitement

Square Enix just posted a new promotional video for its upcoming arcade shooter, Gunslinger Stratos 2, and man does it look epic.

This promotion video shows off 19 of Gunslinger Statos 2’s characters in a battle to save the past world. I’m not terribly sure how the future affects the past, but in the game you will be sent 116 years into the future to fight in some of Tokyo’s most famous locations. This particular video shows all of the characters duking it out in front of the famous Shibuya 109 department store, but as the battle continues, the characters spread out throughout the city.

What makes this arcade game more unique than the typical shooter is that you will be wielding two gun peripherals at once. That’s right two. And seeing how Gunslinger Stratos 2 allows for four friends to play together, there could be up to eight guns going off at the same time. Now the question is, how do you shoot two guns at once? Well instead of explaining the different methods Square Enix suggests, I’ll just let this banana show you.

This arcade game will be released throughout Japan on February 20, 2014. Gunslinger Stratos 2’s home site mentions that for 100 yen ($1) you get one play, but for 200 yen ($2) you can play 3 times. Pretty good deal for a Japanese arcade game.
