Guess what world record this card game featuring beautiful young girls beat?
What’s the highest number of characters you’ve ever seen in a video game? 50? 100? Well the newest game in the Bi Shou Jou (美少女) series, Megami Engage, features over 577 crossover characters to choose from, and Guinness took note.
This Japanese card game series has over 100 titles that use the Bi Shou Jou name, and from those titles there are over 650 characters to choose from. With such a wide pool of characters it is not surprising that following the January 31 release of the browser game, Megami Engage was awarded the record for the most crossover characters in a card battle video game by Guinness.
It’s kind of an odd record to have, but it has been great publicity for One-Up, the developing team behind Megami Engage, as it is about to release a separate iOS game soon. This iOS game, Megami Quest, is to feature the same record breaking number of characters and will allow you to take the card game on the road. That is if you don’t mind playing a game that features cards like this out in public.
If you are interested in checking out Megami Engage and its absurd amount of characters, you can play for free at their home site.
